BethHedva was inducted into the American Biographic Institute’s 2009 Hall of Fame for “Humanitarian Contributions in Cross-Cultural Psychology”.

Dr. Hedva held core faculty appointments in
Antioch University’s Department of Clinical Psychology, and JohnF.KennedyUniversity’s prestigious Department of Consciousness Studies in California. Having made her reputation by blending ancient and indigenous cross-cultural healing practices and spiritual traditions with modern psychological best practices to promote an integrative approach to community health and wellness Dr. Hedva is licensed as a Psychologist and as a Marriage, Family and Child Counselor and she has practiced as a Clinical Parapsychologist -- having worked as an ‘Expert Intuitive’ and liaison to the Office of Paranormal Investigation on research teams to explore ghosts, hauntings and poltergeists since its inception in 1989.

Dr. Hedva holds certifications in sexology as well as medical hypnosis plus is certified as a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology by the American Board of Psychological Specialties. She has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, a Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychology and a PhD in Psychology, was the Director of Clinical Internships and Field Placement at two universities in California and has trained and
taught counselling professionals globally.

One of North America's leading relationship experts, Dr. Hedva is the On-Line “Ask an Expert” for Reader’s Digest
Canada. Dr. Beth Hedva lecturers world-wide on how to over-come personal, interpersonal, man-made and natural disasters, and has trained helping professionals in medical schools and universities across Canada in her Spiritually Directed TherapyProtocol for Recovery from Trauma.

She was invited by the Indonesian Psychology Association to up-grade the training of psychologists and volunteer recovery workers in Aceh after the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami Disaster. The United Nations Ambassador from the government of Burkina Faso, together with the Human Rights Committee, invited Dr. Hedva to present her work in Aceh on a panel entitled “Human Rights Violations and Recovery: Spirit, Mind and Body Practices.” In February, 2008 joined United Nations Child Ambassador, Mariatu Kamura, on her UNICEF mission to post-civil war
Sierra Leone, and was invited to join the Association for Trauma Outreach and Prevention mission to Haiti, where she trained 275 local Haitian volunteer recovery workers in response to the January 12, 2010 earthquake.

Currently Director of Training and
Counseling Services for Finkleman Communications in Calgary, Canada, and former Chair of Continuing Education, and former Director of the International Council of Psychologists, and Canadian Chair of the Association for Trauma Outreach and Prevention.
Dr. Beth Hedva currently conducts professional development training programs globally, and provides customized training sessions to individuals, couples, families, groups, communities, associations and institutions in person, on-location, and at-distance, via telephone and internet, world-wide.
